Congratulations Mitchell Starc on your selection in the Australian One Day Team!

Congratulations Joe Mennie!

Activate student, Joe Mennie, has recently completed his first season as a contracted player of Cricket NSW. Unfortunately, Joe had an interrupted season through injury which led to some inconsistent results. However his statistics in his NSW Second XI matches were above average with some good results with the ball against Western Australia, while he also showed his potential with the bat in the last game of the year, scoring 49 not out.

Joe continues to work hard in the off season with his coach Ash Squire. All of the staff and coaches at the Activate Cricket Centre offer their continuing support to Joe's achievements and we all wish Joe the best for the upcoming season.

Congratulations John Simpson!

Last summer, John Simpson came out to Australia hoping to improve his cricketing game in Australian conditions. John is currently the First XI wicketkeeper for Middlesex in London and plays his home games at Lords. He is a gifted wicketkeeper and talented left-handed batsman. Ash Squire was lucky enough to work with him prior to Christmas up until the end of the season. John's highlight for last season included a 145 not out for Western Suburbs First Grade against Blacktown.

All of the staff and coaches at Activate Cricket Centre wish John all the best for his upcoming season for Middlesex and look forward to continuing to work with him in the future.

Congratulations Lachlan O'Connor, Arjun Bagga and Scott Copperfield!

Three of Activate's students, Lachlan O'Connor, Arjun Bagga and Scott Copperfield have been selected in the U19 NSW Squad following their outstanding performances in grade cricket last season. Lachlan O'Connor (who last season captained the U17 NSW Team at the National Championships) has also been invited to the Cricket Australia Centre of Excellence to train this off-season.

All three boys have worked extremely hard here at Activate, their grade club trainings and at Cricket NSW. They exemplify what can be achieved through hard work, determination and perseverance.

Well done boys and good luck with your games for NSW.
