Junior Training Squads
Learn Cricket Fundamentals and Have Fun!
The ideal development work for the 5 to 13 years of age group is in Junior Training Squads, where the emphasis is on the learning of the basic skills of cricket while having fun and making new friends.
Session Breakdown
A typical one hour session will include warm-up, new session skill, batting and bowling with every player batting 7 min, fielding skills and a warm-down game. Bowling machines will be used at some sessions.
Coaching Staff
The Junior Training Squads are overseen by Jeff Warland, who is accredited as a Level 2 Cricket Coach. Jeff has a wealth of experience in instructing players of this age-group and has this to say about the program to be completed at the Activate Cricket Centre:
“All training is done in a fun environment. The skills taught will be based on the standard of the players ensuring each player has an opportunity to develop and improve. It is a great opportunity for young players to meet new friends, learn new skills and have a lot of fun!”
Progression
Once players have reached a certain level they will progress to the next level of Activate Cricket Centre Coaching Programs. To view information regarding these coaching programs, please click here.
Costs
Junior Training Squad groups are completed in groups of two or three, costs per session are as follows:
- 3 Players - $35 per person
- 2 Players - $45 per person
